What is Ultrasound

Urology and Ultrasound Associates is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

Ultrasound testing is noninvasive (does not require entering the body or puncturing the skin). Results are obtained through the use of high frequency soundwaves not audible to the human ear. The soundwaves bounce off tissues in the area being evaluated and create an outline of the shape of various tissues and organs in the body. This testing does not require any radiation or dyes.

Our ultrasound team includes the following staff:

A physician who interprets films and makes diagnosis

Our ultrasound technologist has been on staff since 1993 and has worked closely with Dr. Maria costa-Greco to provide the highest quality of diagnostic imaging.
Our technologist is a registered diagnostic medical sonographer (A.R.D.M.S.) and is a member of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (S.D.M.S.).
